"Find your people is a training curriculum that provides specialized resources, mentorship and guidance for seven essential disciplines in the filmmaking process."

In the dynamic landscape of media and entertainment, diversity and inclusion have become not just buzzwords but essential pillars for creating authentic, resonant content. Yet, despite progress, opportunities for emerging creators from underrepresented backgrounds can still be limited. Enter ColorCreative, a groundbreaking initiative founded by the visionary trio of Issa Rae, Deniese Davis, and Talitha Watkins. With a mission to cultivate a supportive community and amplify diverse voices, ColorCreative stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for aspiring storytellers.

Beyond fostering a sense of community, ColorCreative is dedicated to nurturing talent and providing the tools necessary for growth. Through workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship programs, emerging creators gain invaluable insights into the craft of storytelling, production, and navigating the industry. Furthermore, the platform actively seeks out and amplifies diverse voices, ensuring that a wide range of perspectives is represented in mainstream media.

"All participants will receive contributions towards their craft through stipends and other perks."

One of the most powerful aspects of ColorCreative is its emphasis on community. In an industry often characterized by competition, this platform encourages collaboration and support. By connecting emerging creators with mentors, industry professionals, and like-minded peers, ColorCreative creates a network that extends far beyond its virtual borders. This sense of belonging and solidarity is invaluable, particularly for those who may feel marginalized or overlooked in traditional spaces.

As a filmmaker in the state of Georgia, one of my greatest hopes in life is to seize opportunities to increase my ability to grow as a filmmaker and creative. Usually these opportunities are reserved for those who live in these high level markets but this program offers remote learning and in person training with stipends for traveling filmmakers to be onsite. I would love for you to take this time to apply for this opportunity! Rest assured, I applied as well!
